Asking for prayer...

We have our first home study on Wednesday afternoon. This is where our social worker comes to our home and makes sure it is safe for more children. I am not worried about the state of our house, but I am a little concerned about the meeting.

We met with our social worker a couple of weeks ago and she is not big on large families. She hasn't come out and said that, but by the way she talks I can tell. There is no rule in Indiana that your house has to be so big or you can only have so many kids, but she will ultimately be writing our home study and be approving us for as many children that she deems fit.

Please be praying that her heart and mind will be open to us and what we are doing. We don't feel that every child has to have their own room or that our house has to be large. We don't believe we have to have brand new cars and name brand wardrobes. That lifestyle isn't us and we honestly just want to do what God has called us to do.

Tisha,

I know that what God has set in motion, NO MAN can stop. We will be praying for you as Wednesday aproaches and through your meeting.

Praying for you Tisha. I so know that feeling of being nervous for the home visit.

Understand your fears. It is part of our 'frustration' with adopting from foster care. If we were still in IN, we would not be allowed to adopt or even foster any more children. 5 is the limit now. It just 'stinks' knowing that someone else is so in control of how you can become a family. Praying she is more open minded than she seems. God has great plans for you and your awesome family! Love you!
