Adoption Update:
Here is part of an email I received last Friday from our case manager.
"As some of you have recently heard or read, the Center for Disease Control (CDC) is now requiring the U.S. Embassy in Ethiopia to test all adopted children between the ages of 2-14 years old prior to their immigration to the United States. The CDC's intent is to better control the regulation of immigrants coming to the United States with active TB and administer the proper medical treatment to those with active TB, prior to admittance into the U.S."
This means that if the girls test positive for TB then we will not be allowed to travel to get them. This test is not administered until after we pass court. Families usually travel 2-3 weeks after passing court. This means that travel will now be a last minute thing. We are praying that their TB tests will be negative, so that we can travel soon after court and bring them home.
