The call came at 2:34p while the boys and I were on our way to John's orthodontist and oral surgeon appointment. The boys were all asleep and the phone rang. It said "JULIE AGCI". I didn't get excited at all. I had received an email earlier in the day from Julie stating that she would be doing monthly updates this week, because they have other things that they need to get done next week. So, I thought this was our monthly update call.
Me: hello?
Julie: Hi Tisha, how are you?
Me: I am fine. (NOT REALLY. I DO NOT WANT A NEW NUMBER. I WANT A REFERRAL!)
Julie: Well I have some exciting news for you.
Me: OK (In my mind I am thinking, "Let me guess, I am now at the #1 spot.")
Julie: I have twin girls I want to talk to you about.
I started to cry like a baby... I couldn't believe it. It was THE CALL and I had no idea. I pulled into a gas station and quickly realized I didn't have anything to write with...UGH! I tried to take it all in, but only retained bits and pieces. Thankfully she sent us all the information! I continued to cry through out the conversation. I couldn't help it. I know Julie understood! I am so in awe of God and His goodness! Thank you Jesus!
John's appointment is only once a year. I didn't feel like I could cancel it, so off we went. All I wanted to do was go home and see their faces, but I was patient.
We weren't able to see the pictures until 5:10p. It was worth the wait. They are adorable and we are SO in love!!! I can't believe we were referred TWINS!! We are not able to post their pictures on the blog, because they are not legally ours yet, but here is a picture of the boys seeing their sisters for the first time. Monte and I looked at the pictures first and then it was their turn! Can you tell how excited they are?
Tomorrow I have to get all their information to an international pediatrician and once he gives us the all clear then our agency will over night us referral paperwork. I am hoping to get this out by the end of the week, so we can get on the list for a court appointment. It usually takes a month to get a court date, so we'll be waiting once again. It is ok though, because I can now stare at their beautiful faces!!

What a wonderful day this has been! I'm so glad you got the boys faces on camera. That is just going to be another testimony to your girls of how much they were love and wanted before they even knew their family. A love like that could only come from God.

I am rejoicing with you! The call day is one of the most amazing days.I think it took me about a week to stop shaking with excitement. I hope you are enjoying staring into those big eyes- 2 sets of them! Hoping you wait for a court date is short.

So very excited for you! The little girls are just precious and you are going to love all the special things that go along with having daughters! Can't wait for B to meet her new playmates:) Praying for you and your family!
I know you're still basking in His glory :) ... the pic of your boys seeing their faces still makes me smile :)
yes, his room is HUGE ... when the original owners built this house, they made the 2 other bedrooms LARGE ... but that's good because sharing a room won't be bad for our Ethiopian kiddos in the future :)
