I feel so blessed!

What a night! Tonight I volunteered for Show Hope at The United Tour concert with Steven Curtis Chapman and Michael W. Smith. Show Hope is a not-for-profit started by the Chapman family after adopting their first daughter Shaohannah. Last May they lost their youngest daughter Maria, as I am sure everyone knows. Through this tragedy they followed God's lead and have built a 6 story orphan/hospital in China for children with special needs. They also have started a sponsorship program so that you can help orphans on a monthly basis. I can't even begin to tell you how amazing this family is. I am sure you already know!

I was able to work along side a couple that adopted from China and have now been home for 7 months with their little girl. I truly feel blessed to have met them. I look forward to meeting their little girl.

Oh and just for the record, Geoff Moore is my new hero. He is SCC's close friend and is also a signer and songwriter. He took the time to come to our table to get to know us. I was so humbled that he cared about our individual adoption journeys.

SCC wanted the volunteers to stick around after the show so he could tell us "thank you" in person. I think I was the only one who brought a camera... I know I am a dork, thanks!

What an amazing opportunity to serve others and be blessed all at the same time.

Geoff Moore- we love him, too. Okay, I'm beginning to feel really old here. Those guys have been around a long time.

You didn't tell me you posed for a picture! Yeah! That sounds like a really fun evening. Maybe the next time he comes to town you can introduce your new lovies :)

I am so jealous!!! Trey's middle name is Chapman -- after SCC! I'll have to tell you all of his songs that have specifically impacted us at various stages of our lives... Geoff Moore is awesome too! Those guys are so down-to-earth and real. I am so glad that you had the opportunity to volunteer that night -- especially with the emphasis on adoption and your current journey! How cool?!? Continue to be a dork and carry your camera -- it pays off! :)
