Let the games begin...

The boys started soccer on Saturday. Usually I am really pumped to get soccer under way, but not so much on this day. Monte was out of town this past weekend. He went to Chicago with friends. For the entire weekend. I am not bitter, not one little bit. So that left me in charge of getting all three boys ready and out the door by 8:30a. I barely am out of bed by 8:30a, so it was a blast!

What made it even better is that Josiah came into my room while I was still trying to wake up and asked what day it was. When I told him that it was soccer day, he told me he was sick and couldn't play. He continued with his story with big crocodile tears. He said that germs came into his room during the night, went into his body and that is why he can't play. This is Josiah's first time playing soccer and he had a very traumatizing experience with flag football last fall, so I am sure that is why there was so much drama. I told him that he had to play and if he still didn't like it after the season was over, he would NEVER have to play again.

He ended up LOVING it, after getting over his coach calling him JoZiah. I do need to teach him that it is not ok to run down the field with his arms out straight. That boy keeps me laughing, while also keeping me on my toes!

Isaac and John did well. This was John's first year on the big field! He came off the field holding his chest and telling me his heart was beating to hard he thought he was going to die. Seriously, he cracks me up! He is not too found of the whole exercising thing. Just like his Dad!

What handsome boys! Sounds like lots of fun to come this summer. I can't imagine if I had to run the length of a soccer field repeatedly!

Your family has been on my heart this week. I can't imagine how hard this period of waiting is getting for you. Your other children are in ET, and God is preparing them for you. I'm lifting your heart up to Him.

Oh my goodness! Your boys are so cute and funny! Josiah reminds me of my Kole and his anxiety about new experiences. Oiy. It's a struggle sometimes. I can't believe you've been at the top of the list for so long now!!! (I was catching up on your blog over the weekend and then got distracted (go figure) and didn't comment. Maybe this is the week... Oh! T-shirt link...not sure what you mean, but the company's e-mail is cking@threecord.com.

Two of mine are playing soccer too. Getting three boys out of the house at 8:30 am alone is not an easy task!

I would like to see video of Josiah running down the field with his arms straight out in front of him. . . that might be material for America's Funniest Home Videos- $10,000 could come in handy, right?

They look so cute in their uniforms:) I think I see why John and Adam get along so well. Adam's not to fond of exercise either.

That's so great! :) James started soccer this year and he loves it too. I could do without all the running around for practices/games, but I guess you can't have one without the other, and Michael does do a lot of it. I'm not looking forward to having 3 different schedules when David starts -- but we have a few years.
