Ok, I just got off the phone with our case manager, Julie.
She told me that we are #4. I had to sit down... WHAT?? FOUR?? REALLY?? Last month, our updates were given to us via email and communication obviously got mixed up, on my end. I thought that when she gave me the #4 last month that it was for overall, but it was for the sibling ONLY list. We must of been #7 overall last month, but that is just a guess.
The good news in all this is that we are now #1 on the sibling only list. There are still 3 families in front of us that are on both the single and sibling list. I am not sure of their parameters, all I know is that we are willing to take either gender 0-3 years.
I am a little bummed. Ok... a lot bummed, but at least I can put my cell phone down.

I can really relate to your post title. I feel that way a LOT;)
I can only imagine the anxiousness you feel in this time of waiting.
It will be so worth it when you have those precious little ones in your arms.

Yeah, the boy list is on fire apparently! We are slowly trucking along. I just got off the phone with Julie and she said that I will be able to tell where we really are after we get the bi-weekly tomorrow and when she says that we are usually a lot lower:)
Well then I will be praying for lots of sibling AND girl referrals!! Maybe we will be able to travel together!
Oh, I hope you hear something soon...I still haven't heard my court date this week...praying they call tomorrow with it :) we'll see :) kristi
Hang in there! You will get a referral soon I bet. How long is the typical wait for sibling referrals? Is it quicker or longer than the single lists?

Even though it wasn't the news you were hoping for, at least you know! Sometimes you can just feel better when you have some answers. Still praying for lots of referrals :)
Since you're at 0-3...I suspect you'll be at the older end of that range. We were at 18mo -4 and got a 3 1/2 year old. I think there are less people waiting for 2 to 3 year olds...so you could get your referal faster than you think! We were #13 on the boy list and skipped all the other #'s and got our referral!
