book review

I have been meaning to blog about this book for a while now, so here it goes!! It is a wonderful book. It is about a couple's dealings with infertility and their adoption journey. I recommend this book to everyone, even if you aren't adopting! I was able to read it in just two days, so it was a super easy read.

In the book they talked about how when they were trying to have kids, adoption was their plan B. Then after praying about it, they realized that adoption was God's plan for their life. It was no longer their plan B, it was their plan A! I just loved that part!

Obviously Monte and I never had infertility issues, but I could still relate to this thought. While I was pregnant with Josiah, we both knew that we would not have another biological child. Not because we couldn't phyically have anymore, but because the Lord had placed adoption on our hearts. We knew it was our plan A.

Many people think we are crazy for having "so many" kids. I only see it as a blessing! Adoption isn't for everyone. Having a large family isn't for everyone. I am so thankful that I will be able to experience both! I personally don't need all the material things of the world. They bring me no joy. The only joy I need is knowing I am living the Lord's will for my life.

Here is the link to order the book, if you are interested.

I like the new photo of the boys they are sooo cute! I also love this book. We highly recommend it. Cory and I came up with the name Silas after watching a movie a long time ago. Then we started the adoption process and loved following Amy and Josh's blog and thought it was so neat that they had a son name Silas! Yay! We just love the name!!! Praying for good news this week for you!!!

I heard Mary Beth and SCC talk about how adoption isn't God's plan B. That was when I realized I totally looked at it that way and saw that we didn't have to struggle with infertility to adopt. Now it seems crazy that it didn't make sense to me before. I guess God reveals things like that to us right when He wants to.

Looks like a great book. I'll be sure to put it on my summer list. I love it that God's plan is always plan A:)

So similar to our story...I remember being pregnant with our third and having such a peace about this being our last pregnancy yet knowing we would have more children.
