Still waiting...
We are still waiting on my background check. It'll be five weeks on Monday. This is the last piece of paperwork we need. I can see how easily adoptive parents can get frustrated. Once we send our dossier to our agency, it'll be close to a month before we will be on the official wait list, so I am anxious to get this process done. The dossier to has to go to Washington DC to get authenticated and then it is sent to the Ethiopian government and once there we are put on the wait list. The wait time right now is 6-8 months for a referral. They told us that we'll probably wait closer to 8 months because we want a young sibling group. Our prayer is that we can bring our sweet children home by the end of next year. Only the Lord knows for sure and we are trusting in him.

Hi! It's nice to "meet" you! Thanks for the comment! I just want to let you know that once you turn in your dossier you are on the waitlist, you don't have to wait until its authenticated and all that... so hope that helps your waiting woes!
