A little busy, just a little!

I got a call from our home study agency yesterday asking us if we wanted to come in on Thursday for our first appointment. We were originally scheduled for that visit on September 4th, but I asked them if they had a cancellation, to please let us know and we'll come in sooner! So 6 days after starting the adoption, we have our first meeting. Two weeks early! This is another praise!

Thankfully I had gotten a good head start on all of the paperwork. This has been a great way to fuel my, what I thought was dead, obsessive compulsive issues! My goal was to have everything done by the 4th and I think I may get it done a little sooner.

I have had a *VERY* busy Monday through Wednesday. Here are some things that we had to do. Not all are for the adoption:
Get Finger Printed at the Sheriff's Office
Background check
Vet appointment for the cats (even the animals have to have recent shot records for the adoption)
Football practice
Dentist appointments
Piano lessons
Church meeting
Endless amounts of paperwork
A lot of phone time getting information from family members that we didn't know
Staying up way too late watching the Olympics, but I just can't pull myself away
AND...
still get the boys' schooling in

It won't always be this busy, but I know the next couple of months will be a little crazy! It truthfully hasn't been bad and I have had fun doing all this because I am so excited that it is really happening. I have been dreaming since a young girl about adopting and I am actually doing it!
