Korah is located on the outskirts of the capital city of Ethiopia, Addis Ababa. Korah is not your typical suberb. It is home to 120,000 people who are outcasts from society. They usually have an infliction... HIV, Leprocy or are crippled. These conditions make finding a job impossible.
So, if these people are outcasts, you can only imagine their living conditions in this third world country. Their homes are next to the city dump. The dump is where they go to find food for their families. They have no job, no income and digging through trash is their ONLY option. They don't have money for medication and their home consist of one small room with no electricity or running water.
Friends, I have seen this with my own eyes. These are HUMAN BEINGS! They should not be eating others leftovers. They were created in the imagine of God. "So God created man in His own image; in the image of God. He created him; male and female He created them." Genesis 1:27
Here is an example of food they gather at the dump. That is rotten injera (a pancake like bread).

The Lord has made it very clear to Monte and I over the past month that we need to advocate for the people who live here. We will be coming along side a church that has been in Korah for 10 years and helping them find sponsors for the families. The church does what they can, but the need is great.
The sponsorship will supply the family with food for the month and pay for their rent. We currently have 6 families that we are finding sponsors for. I will be posting pictures of the families in the coming days. In the meantime please be praying for these precious people.
