Lets do a giveaway!!

I am so excited to finally share this on my blog...

In November I was asked to sit on the board of a new nonprofit organization focused on the worldwide orphan crisis. I will be honest, my first thought was, how in the world could I do something like this? Yes, I have adopted and I have a heart for orphans, but I have a lot on my plate and doing something like this wasn't even on my radar. My husband works an insane amount of hours, I homeschool all the kids and at times if feels like they are involved in every activity known to man. There are days that I don't even get my teeth brushed until 3p, how was I going to squeeze in the duties of a nonprofit?

Did you notice that?

Those were all excuses... sad... lame excuses.

They didn't last long.

The more I talked with the founder and his wife, the more I saw God's hand all over this. My hubby and I talked and prayed about it and decided that this is exactly what I need to be doing. The Lord has given me a heart for the fatherless and this is a perfect way to bring awareness to the millions of children who cannot speak for themselves.

The organization is called,

Village to Village International (V2V).

Here is some information stating what we are about.

"Village to Village International exists to bring hope to the global orphan crisis by caring and advocating for orphans and providing financial solutions for adoptions."

This is how we are going to bring hope. "Village to Village believes that everyone can be a part of the solution to the global orphan crisis. When 1,000 people (a village) give $10 a month it adds up to $10,000 a month to fund orphan care. It is our desire to see as many villages giving $10,000 a month as possible."

We are waiting for the last few things to fall into place before we can go live, so in the meantime we have started a facebook page. The facebook page is HERE!
