Over tree months ago I TRIED to do the girls hair in cute clips. I blogged about the disaster HERE. Neely suggested I check out Happy Hair Girl and now I am a faithful reader. I love this site, but seriously, she makes it look too easy.
The girls' hair is starting to get longer, so I thought it was time to try it again. This time I decided to ditch the clips and use elastics.
I did Chloe's first. This was as far as I got...
SHE.HAS.SO.MUCH.HAIR. It takes me a long time to comb through it everyday, but after 30 minutes she was done and honestly, I was too. I got five elastics in, in 1/2 hours... pretty sad.
Hannah's hair is a completely different texture and it isn't nearly as thick. I was able to do all of hers in 30 minutes, but my parts need a lot of work. I have done ponytail parts, but when you get to the back of the head, going horizontal... it is a different ball game. It is a lot harder than I thought it would be.
I can't believe Wednesday will mark six months since our Gotcha Day. We have had a lot of ups and downs, but at the end of day... not matter what type of day we have had... I am so thankful for these two girls and for God's blessings on our lives.

Great job! They look so cute! I love happy girl hair too! I miss you guys.
I think they look great! Nice work!
I'm also a HGH fan -- even though Melat doesn't have enough hair for me to work with yet!
Great job, Tish! If we end up with a girl, I'm going to need SO MUCH HELP!!!!!
great job!! seriously, your parts look WAY better than mine! I work harder on Betty's hair than I do on mine:)!
good job~! i love doing Jerusa's hair this way but it takes me a very long time. i have always used elastics. Can't wait for their hair to get long enough to do the two big puffs on top of their heads..
keep it up!
i am COMPLETELY impressed! such beautiful girls. what fun to celebrate 6 months home.
so cute tisha!! you did a great job!!
Holy smoke! You rock!!!! The girls look adorable! I am totally scared of how I am going to build in enough time to do "girl" hair in the mornings. The boys are so easy!
Nice work! I am impressed and they look great!
I am impressed! I am terrible with hair, poor Maria has her hair quite long these days and even though she has great, wavy, soft hair I can't seem to get it the way I want it...ever! Your girls look sooo good.
it looks great!! let me tell you, Zoe is a nightmare with ehr hair and she has so much hair it is unreal for a 13 month old. but that girl will not hold still so i end up crawlinga ll over the floor after her, sometimes pinning her down with my leg while she yells, and then i look and it is done crooked AND i am sweating like mad. good times-I just keep telling myself it has GOT to get easier!!! or else i will be a champion pig wrestler as a job to fall back on, haha
OH MY GOSH! HOW CUTE!!! I'm longing for a little girl!! Hmmm...wondering if I'd totally warp Finny...elastics you say...
They look amazing. Keep practicing. You'll be a pro in no time.
Nice Job! They are so adorable!
Super cute! How long will they stay in? I wish I could do my whole head like that. . . low maintenance :)
Hello! I am new to your blog and 3 months home with twins (1 boy/1 girl). Do you mind me asking what kind of hair products you are using on your girls? Do you have problems with them sleeping with this style? I have only done minor things with Jocelyn's hair because she is a light sleeper and wakes if there is anything in her hair affecting the side she sleeps on. Your girls are adorable and you did a fabulous job!
I think they look so cute!!! Asher has a ton of hair, too ... but I don't think I can put his hair up like that. : )
