I just went and got the mail...
I received my passport today!! It only took TEN DAYS! Monte got his done on a different day, so it'll be here soon. They told us it could take up to 6 weeks, so I was elated that I got it so quick. You maybe thinking, why do we need them now? We have to have them before all our paperwork is done. Not really sure why though.
Bad news... I received my fingerprints back. They were not accepted and need to be done again. I guess my prints were too light. I asked the lady that did them if they were ok (because I thought they were too light), but being the first time that I have ever been fingerprinted I wasn't about to push the subject. This sets us back a little bit since it takes a while to get them processed, but it'll be ok!
