The same night I started my blog, I signed up for facebook. facebook is a social network, like myspace. At first I thought I had made a huge mistake. There are so many young people on there and well... I am just not that young anymore.

Well, I have to admit that attitude changed quickly. I am in love with it! I have gotten back in touch with a lot of people. A cousin I hadn't talked to in almost 10 years, family members that were babies the last time I saw them (now they are DRIVING) and many classmates that I haven't talked to since high school and college.

When I was a freshman in college I had 2 roommates, S and L. They meant the world to me. I had a really hard time adjusting to life 1,100 miles away from home and they made it easier on me. After our freshman year S went home to Michigan to finish her degree. We only got together once our sophomore year. After that there were a few letters, but we quickly lost touch. I have thought about her often over the past 12 years and last week she found me on facebook. I think I screamed when I saw her name. To be reunited with such a dear friend gives me such joy. It has been great talking with her again and catching up. facebook makes it so easy to get in touch and keep in touch with some great people!
