Delay

*adoption update* Yesterday afternoon we had our home study visit with our new agency. She was so supportive and encouraging. She didn't make us feel crazy for wanting to be open to age and number! The very cool part is that she herself is an adoptive mother... beautiful!

The MOST awesome part was taking a break from school this morning and finding our home study ruff draft waiting for me in my email inbox! AMEN! It is now with our placing agency waiting approval. She told me that she worked well into the night last night to get it done for us. love her.

Of course I will keep you all posted!

Now to get to the title of this blog...
delay...
Guess who was talked into coaching Chloe's 4/5 year old soccer team? Yup, me, the mom who can't say NO and knows almost nothing about soccer! I wasn't really talked into it, the YMCA coordinator was pretty much begging! Monte is volunteering at the boys' football field (my man runs the time clock), so with all of this going on every Saturday from 8:30a-1:30p, I have decided to delay my 5K run until next month(when things slow down).
AND...
there is another reason. I had a friend email me and ask if it would be okay if she ran with me and also raised donations for our adoption. HOW AWESOME IS THAT?
So, we are going to be running a 5K on October 22nd in downtown Indy! So I am still training 2 days a week and I hoping to make it 3 very soon. These kids are putting LOTS of miles on my van with all their activities, but I wouldn't change it for the world.

I am coaching Ben's soccer team this year and it is a blessing to me! Those kids are soooo much fun! I also never played soccer, but I've been soccer aunt (basically soccer mom) to the big boys since 2005 so I do at least know the rules! Regardless, for 4-5 year olds they just want to have fun and build skills so you will be fine!

Tisha - you motivated me to start the C25K too. I am on week 3, it's rough but so glad to be doing it!

I am SO thrilled that you found the right agency for your homestudy. As you, you've experienced the first of several obstacles and delays in the process and, it WILL be worth it when you babies are in your arms!!So happy and inspired by you!!

xoxo, Ami

I coached U6 soccer for two years (4 seasons) because they had no one. It was kind of fun really.
