Being Six ROCKS!!!

Yesterday Josiah turned six. We celebrated BIG this year. He didn't have a friend party, so we wanted to do other things to make him feel special.

At the beginning of July we went to Maine to spend a week with my parents and while we were there my parents threw Josiah a surprise party. He was the first of the Alexander Five to have a surprise party and it was so much fun. None of the kids knew, so it was great surprising them all. Here are a couple of pictures...

This past Saturday we took the whole family to a local water park to start the Indiana birthday celebration! I didn't get any pictures of it because I forgot my camera. Josiah was so excited. He LOVES to swim and didn't think twice about jumping off the big diving board into the 12.5' deep water.

Yesterday was Josiah's day! He was up early and wanted to get ready to go spend his birthday money! We started the day at Build-A-Bear.

He was able to get this bear and clothes for $12. I had a coupon for a FREE bear and $5 off coupon.

On our way back to the van I saw this jumping thing and asked him if he wanted to do it. Of course he said YES! He had a blast and the other kids can't wait for their birthday so they can come back and try it.

We then went to Toys R Us so he could get some Lego's and spend the rest of his birthday money. A birthday wouldn't be complete for the Alexander boys without a Lego to build.

After that we went to the 75 cent movies to see "How To Train Your Dragon".

We finished the day off with some pizza. Josiah had a great day and I think we were successful at making him feel special. Many times throughout the day he would hug me and tell me thank you! We love you Josiah Richard... Happy 6th Birthday.
