I do like free...

I am sure that you have heard that Disney is doing a special thing this year. Give a day get a Disney day! It is for ages 6 and older. If you volunteer for an approved organization then you get one free day at any park at the Magic Kingdom.
We have been planning to go to Florida since September of last year, so I thought this volunteering thing would be a great idea. It would save us $300. That is a chunk of change! Oh and of course volunteering is good too.
Well... the only thing that was available for our 7 and 8 year olds in the Indianapolis area was blanket making for Project Linus . If you have been reading this blog long enough, you know I am NOT a crafty person. I think it is a wonderful organization and they only asked us to make SEW FREE fleece blankets (smart people), but I was less than excited. A friend told me that it only took her 1/2 hour to make one blanket... HA! It took me{us} 2 hours to make one blanket, but I think the final product was cute.
Here are my guys helping! They actually were a huge help and also my parents pitched in when they were visiting. My mom is a crafty gal...
We had to make 2 blankets per person.

Here are our FREE tickets!!!

DISNEY, here we come!

Time to start packing...

AWESOME! I am so jealous. The kids are going to go crazy. Just a little suggestions. . . pack your own Disney dresses for the girls to wear because they cost 4 times as much in the park ;)

I love that it was a family project! Have fun in the magic kingdom. Be sure to ask the girls to say Hi to all the princesses for me (I love the princesses!), and tell the boys that I would ride all the roller coasters with them if I were there!!
