More hair...

OK... last Friday I was bound and determined to do ALL of Chloe's hair, not just five elastics. I decided to try Bantu Knots. Her hair needs to be longer for them to look really good, but my focus of the session was for her to get used to sitting (somewhat) still. It took a total of 90 minutes and she did very well considering being still is not her style. She watched Sesame Street for the first time, I am sure that helped a lot!

I do not have a night cap for her(or a silk pillow case), so by morning the knots were pretty messy and by day two I had to redo them; adding an additional 30 minutes. I will be purchasing a night cap before I attempt that or anything like it again.

Here are some pictures of the final look.

Wow, I am really impressed. But I'm with Missy...90 minutes? Oh boy. What am I getting myself into?? :)

By the way, is that a wayward tear I see in the corner of her eye? LOL. I cut the boys' hair Saturday and Cheru, as always, had lots of tears. The kids has a seriously sensitive scalp.

I tried the bantu knots also this weekend after seeing a pic on facebook. It was kind of fun, and no tears! I don't know what we'd do with out cartoons to entertain during hair styling..

You're daughter is beautiful!
