I have gotten this question a few times, so I thought I would answer. Please know that you are going to get the real thing on this blog. This answer is the truth and what our life consists of right now. I know I will be able to come back to posts like this later and praise God that things are better!
OK, lets proceed.
How are the boys, you ask? Isaac and John are having a blast with the girls. They are eager to play with them and to help in any area I ask. It is really fun to see the girls so excited about EVERYTHING and it has rubbed off on them. It is just precious. I pray this willingness continues, because it does a mom's heart so good!
Hanna and Isaac.
This picture of Josiah about sums up his thinking on being a big brother...
Poor Josiah. For those of you who may not know, Josiah was named after a great king in the Old Testament. If we would of know that Josiah was going to come into this world thinking he WAS a king, we may of thought harder about what we were going to name him. He has been the baby for five years, so it is a lot for him to take in. No matter how hard you try to prepare any child for the changes that lie ahead, there is just no way of doing it until the children are home to stay. I know it'll just take more time for him, but as a mom I long for the day to see him enjoy the girls as much as the oldest two. He is a very loving child, so I do know that he will come around as some point.
A SIDE NOTE: My dear friend Monica came over yesterday to drop off our dinner. THANK YOU MONICA. She is a RN, so I showed her the rash that I have developed over my neck area the last couple of days. Guess what her answer was... CHICKEN POX. Can you believe it? It seems to be a mild case, like Hanna's, and for that I am thankful. I know understand why Hanna was so whinny. It is no fun and I find myself more tired than normal.

Praying for your little Josiah! As you can figure, I am partial to "Josiah's":-) When I named my Josiah 8 years ago, I thought we'd never know another Josiah. Now, there are 3 Josiah's at our church all about the same age!! God has a plan for his Josiah's as they are raised to live in a world with lots of idols!
Praying for your chicken pox too! YIKES!

Oh no- chicken pox? Sorry to hear that!!! I am sure Josiah will eventually as you say- like the idea. It is hard giving up that baby spot. It helped us when we kept saying to Elizabeth- when we knew Jonathan was coming home- you still get to be the baby girl, and Jonathan will be the baby boy. Worked- sort of. Ahhh sibling rivalry.....happens daily in every language around the world.
Definitely an adjustment. My son Oscar is sometimes great with his new little sister.... sometimes not so much. Sorry to hear about the chickenpox. Hope for a speedy recovery!
I love the photos of your sweet little boys and their sisters. :) I can only imagine what that transition will be like for us next year, but will watch you for advice. hehehee. :)
So glad the boys are well! Josiah it must be hard to share your wonderful mom and dad, so I can understand.
We have two sons also. Thanks for giving us a heads up about possible reactions. I always appreciate honesty.
Oh, I just love Josiah he is such a sweetie! I understand it is hard to share your great mom! Tisha how are you feeling with the chicken Pox? I have been praying for you!

I'm sure Josiah will come around. It's not always easy to love 2 year olds;)
The pictures are just precious. Keep 'em coming! Oh, I resort to bribery to get all of mine to smile for the camera. It works occasionally:)
Hang in there. I can only imagine all the adjustments going on in your family. And the chicken pox. It's never dull with a large family, is it?!
Oh, and YAY for friends bringing meals!
