Remember this post about not having a good picture of the girls or kids? I decided that I was going to take them to get their pictures done. Lets just say it was not fun experience. I thought I was being so smart by having all five of them photographed together. It was a disaster! The poor photographer, my poor children.

After an hour of trying we ended up leaving, without any pictures. I did reschedule for last night and decided to just bring the girls. It was not stressful this time around, but it still wasn't fun. Is photographing children ever fun? I did end up getting a few nice ones, but without some drama to go along with it!
We did get ONE picture of the two of them smiling. Success? It'll work for now!
Most of the nice ones we got are of them alone. I can't believe how much they have changed in just three short weeks!

I have been meaning to get one scheduled for all of us this fall! I think I am going to use a new photographer associated with www.celebratingadoption.org because you get a free session within one year of your adoption.
Hanna's hair has grown so much! I'm no longer very happy with the It's a Curl stuff so I am looking at other products....it just gets too dry too fast.

Those are so good! I can't even handle one toddler at a photo shoot so YOU deserve a mommy award for that! I love love love the picture of both girls smiling...they look so fun and playful. :)

Yes, the alone pictures are precious. I actually like the one with all of them sitting/laying on the sheet as well. I wonder if you will too, down the road a bit, as it will be a memory. I remember being so upset at my son always falling and getting a big bump on his forehead or face before pictures. Yet, I look back and it is a funny memory now:-)
I"m taking my niece and nephew (10&11) and Noah Tamirat(almost 14 months) to get photos done togeather not this week coming but the following week. Should be an adventure. My parents are bringing my niece and nephew to visit since they are dying to meet Noah. Sometime the week after that my in laws come to town..pray for me i'm gonna need it.
Tish, they are wonderful pics! I remember every year after Thanksgiving I'd try to get the children beautified and find the perfect setting for our Christmas card, and every year I'd be in tears because after all the hard work they would be AWFUL!!! Now when we get together to take family pictures it's stiff AWFUL!!! Mine have never grown out of it! It's funny when your not in the middle of it...
Oh, the last two are so sweet! Are you going to send those when you do your postplacment reports? I bet the orphanage staff would love to see them. So cute!
they are darling pictures. they aren't perfectly posed, but this will remind you of this stage with your family. i love them! all your kids are adorable. and the girls look FABULOUS in yellow!
It is so hard to have them all paying attention at the same time. But, as they grow, you'll look back and remember it much more enjoyably. They are beautiful!
We did the same thing after Grace had been home three weeks and it took over an hour of shooting just to get a few good shots of the kids.
Hey girl! Actually, I did not know that...so that is great info to have! I was hoping that we could use the crib for at least 6 months...so I'm glad to know that she is in a crib at HH. I wish I knew more and I hope I learn more soon...I don't know what she is eating, drinking, how well she is walking/running/talking...ahhhh! I can't wait to learn more about her. Will I get more updates? Are your girls sleeping in cribs at home?
