Things around here have been quiet. We do not have a referral, I am sure you already guessed that! The weather has been typical for this time of year. One day it is beautiful and the next it is freezing. I am so ready for spring and I know the boys are too.
This week I decided to do a craft with the guys. If you have been reading this blog long enough you know that I do not have any creativity. Isaac attends an art class at a local Christian high school, but for the last 6 weeks has not gone because the art teacher broke her hand. I am not sure when it will start back up again, but this poor boy needs his crafts/art projects!
I decided to take all our broken crayons and "recycle them".
First we took off all the paper. The boys did not enjoy this task at all.

I preheated the oven to 250. We put the broken crayons in a mini muffin tin, put them in the oven and it only took about 6 minutes for them to melt.
This is their final masterpiece. It was fun thing to do with them. I quickly realized we really only had boy colors, so they didn't come out as "pretty" as I thought they were going to!

That is such a cute idea! I love it!!!
I did that too once and all of the crayons turned out brown. Yours look much better. Can't wait until art resumes :)
This is so cool! You've inspired me! ;)

I see a "pretty" one! Great project. I tried it when the kids were all little, but all of our crayons were washable. They don't work as well. :)
