My sweet six year old...

My Dearest John,

I truly can't believe you are already SIX years old. Where has the time gone?

I can't even begin to express to you, how much fun it is to have you around! You bring us so much joy and laughter.

You are doing very well at school. You are doing kindergarten work and are reading lots of words! You are the only one who asks to go to "real school". You also think it would be awesome if I worked full-time and you could go to daycare with all the cool play gyms outside. I have thought a few times about enrolling you for 2 weeks and showing you it is not as fun as you think!!

You also are amazing with animals. You love them all!! Your cat, Alex, is not a very nice cat, but he loves you. You are the only person who can walk up to him and touch him. I often times find you sitting on the couch with Alex on your lap and Maxine beside you. You are a natural!

You LOVE video games. We really have to watch you John, because we have found you up in the middle of the night or hiding in a closet playing. You are good at them too!

This past fall you played flag football. Your couch hardly let you sit because you were so good. You got many goals and flags. It was so much fun to watch you play!

While you were five, you lost FIVE teeth! As soon as a tooth becomes a little loose, you start messing with it and within a couple of days you get it out. You are too funny!

You are our instigator. You remind me of me when I was little, so I am sure it is payback. You don't do it to be mean though. You just love to get a rise out of your brothers and often times it works!

I love you John. I am so proud of you!!!
Mom

Happy Birthday John!

Very cool about the computer ... I know someone that just got a good deal on a gateway laptop as well...

very cool that you'll have something to take with you ... I have been debating on taking one with us or not ... we don't have a camcorder so we thought about getting one with a hard drive in it so that would mean we wouldn't have to take a computer ... decisions, decisions...
