I was chatting with a friend about getting together this summer and scrapbooking. I was looking at my calendar and realized I only have TWO free Saturdays for the WHOLE SUMMER. Now I am down to one since she took the other. As always summer is going to fly by. I think as the kids get older the summer goes by even faster because of all the activities they are in.
Even with gas prices the way that they are, our summer plans have not changed.
We are driving to Maine in June for my grandmother's burial. I will stay longer to visit family and friends. Monte will fly back home after just a couple of days. This is a 20 hour trip, one way,with kids and the dog. We are bringing the dog so we don't have to kennel her. She is getting old and I hate to kennel her for 2 weeks.
In July we'll make our yearly trip to Oklahoma to visit Monte's mom and step dad. This is a 12 hour trip, one way.
Monte and I are also taking a long weekend and will be driving a few hours north.
So I want to ask you. Have you or have you not altered your summer plans because of the gas prices?
