Since my title is the day to day I thought I would go with that for today! Monte is working very late tonight, so on days like these (thankfully there aren't too many) I like to keep things full. It makes the day go more smooth!
What did we do today, you ask? Well I'll tell you...
1. I woke up at 5:30a and got some quiet time in before the first child woke up at 7a. It has been a while since I woke up this early... I don't know how Monte does it five days a week. I am looking forward to sleeping in tomorrow.
2. Got breakfast and cleaned like a mad woman for a while.
3. While waiting on a friend, I went and greeted our new neighbors (they have been here for a few months). They are from Kenya... how cool is that? Very nice people.
4. Went to a park with a friend that I met at church recently. She has three boys... she is homeschooling... she is adopting from China. I think we were separated at birth.
5. While at the park I remembered I forgot sunscreen. Lets just say that now... many hours later... I am hurtin'. I did remember to put it on the boys, so they are fine. I know you were wondering.
6. Took the boys out to lunch at Applebees, their favorite. If you would of told me a year ago I would be taking them to a restaurant by myself, I would of laughed in your face. God has done a lot for our family in the last year!
7. Ran some errands and came home.
8. The four of us chilled and watched a cartoon and we all dozed off for about 1/2 hour (because my mother woke us up... thanks mom).
9. We had to go run an errand that I forgot earlier. Good thing everything is so close with gas prices now at $3.63... PURE INSANITY!
10. We went outside and visited with neighbors. We don't do this enough. We all had a great time.
11. Fed the boys, gave them a bath and put them in bed.
12. I am going to watch a movie now. *Correction* I am going to try to watch a movie without falling asleep!
It was a great day. I am so thankful that I am able to share my days with my boys and watch them grow right before my eyes. I pray I never take that for granted.
