I can take a hint...

For the last few days we have gotten a lot of advertisements for lawn service on our front steps. I think everyone and their brother does this business anymore. At first I was happy because it is just another sign that spring has sprung. But yesterday it started getting to my subconscious, really deep inside. Is someone doing this to give me a hint that my lawn needs to be mowed? It is quite long with dandelions mixed throughout. The thing that made my mind not dismiss this crazy thinking is because the president of our HOA lives in back of us and you guessed it he owns a landscaping business with the guy who lives across the street from us. So we have beautiful lawns all around us. I am not a conspiracy theorist, but maybe just maybe it is true this time.

This is the time of year in Indiana when the lawn should be mowed twice a week. Well I am here to tell you that it isn't happening in the Alexander household. There are not enough hours in the day to do that job twice in one week. I have been doing our lawn for almost a year now. Last year I did it just to get more exercise. It takes us over a hour to do the lawn with a push mower. This year I feel like I should do it because Monte works so much.

So A and S I am here to tell you that I plan on mowing the lawn today, so you don't have to keep giving me random lawn service business cards. Would it hurt you to bring your huge riding lawn mower to my house once in a while, you'd be done in all of 10 minutes? Oh I am just messin' and procrastinating. They are great neighbors and would never do a thing like that.

Time to go mow the lawn!
