And it continues...

My boys were healthy for 2 1/2 days and then it ended... just like that.

John woke up from nap yesterday crying that his ears hurt. He has had 2 sets of tubes and his adenoids and tonsils taken out, so this is the first time since all that, that he has had any problems. I took him to the Urgent Care in town and he does have a double ear infection. He also was given ear drops because he is in so much pain.

Josiah woke up at 1am with the croup. Thankfully it has been a long time since he has had this. He had it a lot when he was a toddler. It usually hits worse in the middle of the night. It is a harsh barking cough and they can have trouble breathing. The best thing to do is take them outside if it is chilly or put them in the bathroom with a steamy shower running. So at 1am I put him in his coat and we walked the neighborhood. It worked well enough that he slept peacefully the rest of the night. He is still not feeling well, so once everyone is up we'll make another visit to the Urgent Care and find out if there is anything else going on.
