Happy Spring!

This year we have started a new tradition in the Alexander household. I got the idea here.

I am not a big fan of winter, so when spring arrives I am more then happy to welcome it. This year, Indiana has been especially cold, so I have been counting down the days till spring. It is still not warm yet, but at least I know it’ll soon be here! So in honor of spring we are now doing our Easter egg hunts and egg decorating on the first day of spring.

We have never done a lot of commercialized things on Easter. We have never done the Easter bunny or Easter baskets. We will have the boys hunt eggs and that is about it, so when I came across this idea of doing everything on the first day of spring, I immediately knew this was for our family.

For our first annual spring celebration we also had the boys' Papa and Nana Collins here, what a wonderful time we had!

This will now free up our whole Easter to celebrate the resurrection of Christ… the real reason for Easter!

Mark 16:4-6 “ They saw that the stone had been rolled away – for it was very large. And entering the tomb, they saw a young man clothes in a long white robe sitting on the right sides; and they were alarmed. But he said to them, “Do not be alarmed. You seek Jesus of Nazareth, who was crucified. He is risen! He is not here.”

Egg coloring is more fun when you are dressed up as Mr. Incredible!

Good job boys

Isaac is the egg hunter extraordinaire

We hunted eggs after bath time, hence the wet hair.

Happy Spring everyone!
